Sankey Diagram

The effect of expanding the network on the LSCC.

The evolution of macro level structure of the elite graph as the network expands to more elites. The result is presented as a Sankey diagram. The plot shows if the nodes out side the LSCC merge with the LSCC as the network expands. Each group of vertically aligned boxes represent communities in each view of the elite network that are ordered from the smallest (in the left) to the largest (in the right) view of the elite network. Each edge/flow (from left to right) between two communities indicate the number of overlapping nodes between them.

Thanks to Tom Counsell, whose Sankey library provided inspiration for this example.
